Sponsored client feature: prepared as part of Eco Pro Painting’s OKTD service package. This is a general planning guide, not a description of a completed client project or a promise of a particular service or result.
Colour is only one part of planning painting work. Access, preparation and the final walkthrough also deserve a clear conversation. The following questions can help you organize a discussion with James Muncaster at Eco Pro Painting in Port Moody.
What happens before the first coat?
Ask what preparation is proposed for each surface and what condition the estimate assumes. Point out visible damage, staining, peeling or previous repairs rather than leaving those details until work begins. If the existing finish or material is uncertain, ask how that uncertainty will be assessed before preparation starts. Do not disturb suspect materials yourself.
How should the space be made ready?
Agree who will move furniture, remove wall-mounted items and arrange access. Discuss pets, children, building rules and the times the space is available. Ask about product-specific ventilation and when the area can be used again; drying and curing requirements vary, so a universal timeline is not a reliable substitute for the product guidance and agreed plan.
How will changes and completion be handled?
Keep a copy of the written scope. Ask who should be contacted if a question arises during the work and how any additional work will be documented and priced before proceeding. At the final walkthrough, compare the completed work with the agreed scope and note any outstanding items together. Ask for the product and colour details needed for future reference.
